Haiti Pilot: Blended Learning in Remote & Hybrid Environments

Limited electricity, unreliable internet, and scarce digital tools disrupted consistent, high-quality learning for schools across Haiti. Through a blended learning pilot, 33 schools were equipped, 100 educators trained, and 1,650 students engaged—strengthening continuity and student-centered instruction.

Cosima served as fractional CTO for Genius Blend, leading the project from concept through pilot launch. We developed the MVP, implemented customer support infrastructure with a custom AI support bot, advised on K-12 data privacy compliance (FERPA, COPPA, SOC 2), and managed technical onboarding.

Uprooted Academy

Cosima provides fractional CIO services managing Uprooted’s full technology stack. We audited and secured their Google Workspace environment, drove SOC 2 readiness through Vanta to 85%, coordinated LMS integration with Clever, and evaluated analytics tools for compliance.

Redhoek + Partners (GC Partnership)

Cosima partners with Redhoek + Partners as a low-voltage subcontractor on multi-story residential developments, including the recent project at 381 Van Brunt Street. Our scope included Cat6 structured cabling, intercom, access control, ADA-compliant door hardware, and TV infrastructure, delivered in partnership with DV Comm Systems.

Merrick Academy Charter School

Cosima led the full low-voltage design and installation for Merrick Academy’s new school building. The scope included Cat6 cabling, building-wide WiFi, a 63-door access control system, smoke/vape detection, and a full security camera system, coordinated with the architect and GC through final occupancy.
