Haiti Pilot: Blended Learning in Remote & Hybrid Environments

The Challenge

Digital Promise partners with schools and organizations worldwide to design and implement innovative learning programs that expand access to technology and improve teaching and learning.

Their work took them to schools across Haiti, which face ongoing disruptions to learning and limited access to electricity, internet connectivity, and digital tools. These barriers made it difficult for teachers to deliver consistent, high-quality instruction and for students to experience continuity in their learning.

The Solution

With support from the W. K. Kellogg Foundation and the McNulty Foundation, Digital Promise Global partnered with Model School Network (MSN), Anseye Pou Ayiti (APA), Summits Education, Blue Butterfly, and Education Development Center (EDC) to design and implement a blended learning pilot.

Launched during the 2022–23 school year, the phased initiative reached 33 schools in Mirebalais (Central Plateau) and Gonaïves (Artibonite). The pilot centered on local partnership and long-term sustainability.

What We Did

The initiative focused on three core areas:

Results & Impact

Together, these efforts increased student engagement, supported more active and student-centered instruction, and strengthened learning continuity across participating schools.
